This new capability is made possible through Vultr Storage Gateways. This lightweight solution enables Vultr Bare Metal instances to connect seamlessly to Vultr File System.
Setting it up is easy:
- Deploy a Vultr File System volume and a Vultr Bare Metal server.
- Launch a Vultr Storage Gateways for Vultr File System instance.
- Attach the File System volume to the Storage Gateways instance.
- Connect the Storage Gateways instance to your Bare Metal server.
Once set up, your Bare Metal server can directly consume the Vultr File System volume.
- Multiple Vultr Bare Metal servers can connect to the same File System instance via a Vultr Storage Gateways for Vultr File System instance.
- Each connected server can access and modify shared files, enabling collaborative and distributed workloads.
