Vultr Named a “Strong Performer” in Forrester Wave™: Public Cloud Platforms, Q3 2026
In the AI era, reliability and durability of a cloud provider is dependent on its support for full-stack acceleration. That’s why we’re particularly excited about Vultr’s position as a “Strong Performer” in the Forrester Wave™: Public Cloud Platforms, Q3 2026, which we see as a validation of our mission to deliver cost-efficient CPU and GPU infrastructure to enterprises and developers across the globe.
Many recent entrants into the Infrastructure-as-a-Service market have focused on GPU-exclusive specialization, while traditional hyperscalers carved out their position in the industry based on proprietary services. We do things differently.
In our view, the AI age, and especially the agentic AI age, is not a rebuke of general-purpose cloud compute, but a reinforcement of its crucial role in the enterprise stack.
Similarly, we believe that AI infrastructure has become a core aspect of public cloud, rather than a separate entity that should be treated as an isolated market.
We believe Forrester’s evaluation backs that perspective up. We received the highest possible scores in the “Vision” and “Pricing flexibility and transparency” criteria within the “Strategy” category. To us, our scores spotlight that our mix of commodity infrastructure solutions and GPUs challenges hyperscalers in price and performance for AI use cases. We’re building for the future of enterprise AI, which we see as the reasoning behind our 5/5 score in the “Vision” criterion in the Forrester Wave™.
And, as Forrester’s write-up pointed out, our platform is driven by our ecosystem.
“Rather than following the big clouds in rolling out proprietary services, Vultr differentiates by leveraging the open-source Kubernetes ecosystem and AI open-source projects throughout its stack to maximize composability among its users, underpinned by partnerships with NVIDIA and AMD,” states the Forrester Wave™, authored by Lee Sustar.
Our global coverage – reaching 90% of the world’s population in 2-40ms, from 33 global cloud data center regions across six continents – is further evidence of our commitment to composability. Forrester’s evaluation notes that “Vultr’s roadmap prioritizes geographic expansion, touting its geographically segmented control plane, to address localization and compliance needs.”
We received the maximum possible score of 5/5 – with a score of 5 defined as “superior relative to others in this evaluation” – in the pricing flexibility and transparency criterion. To receive a 5/5 in this criterion means that “The vendor provides a comprehensive and differentiated pricing strategy including time/commitment-based, unit-based, and aggregated/tiered pricing models, with strong pricing transparency and granularity and clear differentiation through automation, AI-driven cost optimization, and advanced flexibility.”
With Vultr, there are no surprise bills, hidden costs, or spend thresholds – just high performance at a fraction of the cost.
All in all, we see The Forrester Wave™: Public Cloud Platforms, Q3 2026 as another affirmation that our platform is designed both for where today’s AI landscape is and for where it’s heading: with a premium on full-stack CPU and GPU infrastructure, built to be open, transparent, and accessible to enterprises and developers everywhere.
