Vultr at Gartner IOCS 2025: Shaping a Multicloud AI Future From the Ground Up

Vultr spent the week in Las Vegas for Gartner IOCS 2025, where we had an exciting three days talking with attendees and hearing from fellow experts about the future of enterprise AI and how to build a resilient multicloud future.

We shared how Vultr fits into that new landscape and how we help teams reduce infrastructure costs while maintaining high performance, flexibility, and coverage at scale.

Next-gen enterprise compute with Vultr VX1™

We spent much of the week fielding interest from CIOs, CTOs, and other infrastructure decision-makers about our enterprise AI and cloud compute solutions, particularly Vultr VX1™ Cloud Compute.

Unsurprisingly, IT leaders were impressed by the idea that Vultr VX1 could power their core business workloads at 33% lower cost and 20% better performance – up to an 82% performance-per-dollar advantage – compared to efficiency-optimized hyperscaler plans.

Platform engineering on Vultr for AI success

In his talk, “Scale Up, Scale Out, Scale Globally: Building the AI-Ready Enterprise with Vultr,” Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Cochrane shared insights on how to integrate AI into core business operations on our composable platform. Vultr provides teams with the flexibility, coverage, savings, and comprehensive infrastructure suite to scale AI projects without lock-in or exorbitant costs.

He also discussed the importance of adopting a platform engineering approach to enterprise AI, ensuring that infrastructure is unified across the organization and IT teams build on a solid, integrated foundation rather than disjointed parts that make scaling complicated, costly, and limited.

“Organizations need to figure out how to stop getting AI projects stuck in pilot mode,” Cochrane said. “A ground-up approach on Vultr’s composable cloud platform can help teams stay ahead of the curve in this new era of enterprise AI.”

Vultr’s place in the AI and cloud computing industries

Gartner analysts and experts dedicated much of the week to assessing the current state of AI and cloud computing and what’s to come in 2026 and beyond.

We were proud to share with visitors our place in that landscape, including our inclusion in three Gartner Hype Cycles and, recently, the Emerging Market Quadrant for Generative AI Specialized Cloud Infrastructure.

We think our recognition reflects an industry shift toward alternative clouds as teams evaluate what they need – and aren’t getting – from traditional hyperscalers. We also believe it highlights an embrace of hybrid and multicloud strategies for flexibility, resiliency, and affordability, all core tenets of the open ecosystem we’ve been building for more than a decade. Those were principles we made sure to share with attendees at Gartner IOCS, inviting them to make Vultr a part of their multicloud strategy. Want to learn more? Get in touch with us here.
