NVIDIA GTC Recap: Accelerating AI Infrastructure and Public Sector Innovation

NVIDIA GTC Washington, D.C. brought together leaders across AI infrastructure, tooling, and deployment. For Vultr, it was an exciting opportunity to share how we are making advanced AI accessible to organizations everywhere while continuing to expand our partner ecosystem and public sector capabilities.

Public sector launch

Government agencies, academic institutions, and defense organizations are rapidly modernizing digital services and AI workloads. However, legacy infrastructure and rigid hyperscaler contracts have slowed progress. At NVIDIA GTC, we highlighted how Vultr delivers secure, sovereign, and cost-efficient cloud for public sector missions worldwide.

Security and compliance remain the foundation. Vultr has SOC 2 and ISO/IEC certifications, ongoing GDPR, HIPAA, and DORA compliance programs, and a roadmap toward FedRAMP and GovRAMP Moderate Authorization. Our Zero Trust approach strengthens protection for sensitive data through least-privilege access and isolated compute environments. And because public budgets demand predictability, our transparent pricing helps agencies scale without fear of overruns.

With instant access to high-performance compute, open APIs, and Kubernetes orchestration, institutions can move across digital infrastructure, citizen-focused services, defense simulations, research computing, and more at mission speed. Vultr continues aligning with government priorities around sovereignty, compliance, and cost accountability while providing a flexible platform that avoids lock-in.

Building secure and compliant AI infrastructure

In a presentation titled "Securing Global AI Infrastructure: A New Blueprint for Sovereign Cloud," Vultr CMO Kevin Cochrane emphasized Vultr’s commitment to fully compliant and secure infrastructure, sharing: "This is a multicloud, hybrid cloud world, and organizations should have multiple cloud environments. At Vultr, we specialize in scaling up and scaling across architecture within the data center, leveraging optimized NVIDIA reference architecture."

Vultr is advancing its compliance roadmap to ensure public sector agencies can deploy AI workloads securely and at scale. "For inference, you have to scale out, which requires a different cloud infrastructure architecture that mirrors your cloud-native applications. You need to be able to replicate your containerized model across multiple distributed, decentralized node pools," Cochrane explained, highlighting how Vultr’s architecture supports next-generation AI deployments.

Collaboration highlights: NetApp

We also showcased how Vultr Cloud GPUs, NVIDIA AI Blueprints, and NetApp storage power AI-driven customer service agents. These agents autonomously process complex documents – PDFs, images, videos – analyzing structured and unstructured data in real time. The demo highlighted how agentic AI speeds up support, reduces errors, and helps businesses scale operations while delivering more innovative, faster customer experiences.
