Vultr at HumanX 2026: Shaping AI Strategies for Long-Term Success

Last week, Vultr attended HumanX 2026, where AI leaders gathered in San Francisco to talk about the state of AI, recent innovations, and what’s ahead in the industry. We spent the week talking with customers, partners, developers, and leaders about how our composable cloud infrastructure accelerates modern AI – accessibly, efficiently, and affordably. Here are the highlights.

Launches: Exemplar Cloud, Vultr Clusters, and IAM

We came out with an exciting series of announcements and launches, kicked off by our NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status on Tuesday by surpassing key AI training performance standards through a rigorous vetting process against the NVIDIA reference architecture. This provides objective validation of our performance and consistency through measurable results rather than vendor claims alone. Read more about the news and what it means.

We also announced a pair of new products, both designed to make our best-in-market user experience even more straightforward and practical. First, we announced Vultr Clusters, making Vultr the first and only cloud provider to offer on-demand, self-service GPU and CPU clusters powered by the latest GPUs and CPUs. Then, we announced upgrades to Vultr Identity and Access Management, making it easier than ever to configure guardrails and access permissions with the level of granularity teams require.

Vultr CEO takes the stage

CEO J.J. Kardwell joined a panel with TensorWave and MinIO called “How Do You Scale AI When the Cloud Isn’t Enough?” They discussed how AI companies are addressing capacity and memory shortages and why decentralization is a strategic advantage.

“Many of the things that were advantages in the pre-AI infrastructure world, in many ways, are disadvantages now,” Kardwell said. “Ultimately, this is a world where efficiency matters. And independents have an enormous advantage.”

He also joined a roundtable with more than a dozen AI decision-makers from across industries, advising them on infrastructure choices that drive revenue, flexibility, sustainability, and market differentiation. Attendees came away with insights from an experienced tech and AI pioneer – insights they can apply to their own business’s roadmap.

Showcasing our broad partner network

Vultr welcomed a great lineup of partners and customers to our booth, who gave real-world testimonials about their work with Vultr and what our joint solution unlocks. From intelligent data platforms for maximum GPU utilization, to edge-to-cloud anomaly detection, to world modeling with myriad industry use cases, and much more, we were proud to showcase how we collaborate with other best-in-class partners across the tech landscape.

In addition to learning about our ecosystem, theatre session attendees also entered into raffles for our popular Make-a-Morty experience and a daily giveaway of Vultr-branded Apple AirPods Max. Thanks to all who attended, and congratulations to the winners!

Looking ahead

HumanX was further validation that enterprises and developers aren’t simply focused on accessing AI infrastructure – they’re considering how to build a comprehensive, stable cloud strategy, ensure their entire stack meets strict performance demands, and scale while maintaining operational efficiency.

We’re proud to be leading the way in that industry re-thinking. Curious to learn more? Contact us.
