SoftwareOne Joins the Vultr Cloud Alliance to Expand Enterprise Cloud Choice

SoftwareOne has joined the Vultr Cloud Alliance, bringing together Vultr’s enterprise cloud infrastructure with SoftwareOne’s expertise across cloud advisory, FinOps, migration, optimization, and managed services.

The relationship creates a foundation for Vultr and SoftwareOne to explore cloud optimization, workload performance, cloud economics, and greater choice for enterprise customers, helping enterprises get greater value from existing and future cloud investments.

Expanding infrastructure choice for enterprise multicloud

Many enterprises already operate across multiple cloud environments, but workloads often remain on the infrastructure where they were initially deployed. As a result, organizations frequently pay more than they should and experience sub-optimal application performance.

Vultr and SoftwareOne see an opportunity to give enterprises greater infrastructure choice, enabling them to optimize their cloud estates for enhanced performance and cost efficiencies. This is particularly relevant for modern, portable workloads where performance, economics, and architectural flexibility are important considerations.

Vultr VX1 Cloud Compute represents one area of alignment, combining x86 compatibility with leading price-to-performance. VX1 allows enterprises to improve workload performance and cloud economics while maintaining familiar x86 architecture and avoiding unnecessary application rearchitecture.

Connecting infrastructure decisions with FinOps

The collaboration also builds on alignment across the broader FinOps ecosystem. With Vultr and SoftwareOne both participating in the FinOps Foundation ecosystem, a shared focus on workload economics can help connect cloud financial management with broader infrastructure decisions, enabling businesses to begin to ‘shift left’ to optimize their cloud infrastructure before deployment..

The focus extends optimization beyond rightsizing and discounts to a broader question: where should workloads run to deliver the right balance of performance and economics?

“Enterprise cloud strategies increasingly require greater choice across infrastructure, performance, and economics. With VX1 Cloud Compute, Vultr provides x86 infrastructure designed for leading price-to-performance and strong cloud economics, alongside Vultr Cloud GPU for demanding AI workloads. SoftwareOne brings deep expertise in cloud optimization and FinOps, helping enterprises make more informed infrastructure decisions based on workload requirements.”

“Optimize to Innovate reflects SoftwareOne’s focus on helping enterprises get greater value from cloud investments. Making the right infrastructure decisions requires balancing performance, portability, economics, and workload requirements. With Vultr as an additional infrastructure choice, enterprises have greater flexibility to match workloads with the right environment, improve cloud economics, and create more capacity to innovate.”

The addition of SoftwareOne to the Vultr Cloud Alliance marks an important step in the collaboration, with areas of alignment across cloud optimization, infrastructure choice, FinOps, workload performance, and financial services.
