The Vultr team is back from four days at Gartner IT Symposium, “The World’s Most Important Gathering of CIOs and IT Executives™.” All week in Orlando, we told visitors at our booth about how our composable cloud solutions help teams optimize their infrastructure stack and reduce costs.
The week included some big news, too: We launched Vultr VX1™ Cloud Compute, which is built to power core business workloads at industry-leading cost-efficiency. (Read more about VX1 in our blog, or explore the product.)
We also continued having great conversations about the AMD Instinct™ MI355X GPU and our inclusion in three recent Gartner Hype Cycle reports. Read more below.
Vultr VX1™ Cloud Compute for cost-efficient core workloads
Our Vultr VX1 launch, another chapter in our ongoing collaboration with AMD to deliver both cost savings and best-in-class performance, kicked off the second day at Gartner IT Symposium with a bang.
Visitors at our booth were eager to learn more about VX1, which is optimized for web applications, SaaS platforms, databases, analytics, workspaces, and other workloads that require consistency and reliability but not the most powerful (and expensive) single-core performance.

More AMD Instinct™ MI355X buzz
On the GPU side, we continued sharing with visitors the benefits of the AMD Instinct MI355X. This latest addition to Vultr Cloud GPU is designed to accelerate the next generation of AI training, inference, and scientific simulation — of course, with superior price-to-performance.
Available as bare metal or 8-GPU virtual machines, the AMD Instinct MI355X empowers customers to enable high-density, high-throughput deployments with ultra-low latency, and it offers seamless integration with Vultr Cloud Storage.

Recognition in Gartner’s renowned Hype Cycles
Earlier this year, Gartner recognized Vultr in three of its annual Hype Cycle reports: the Hype Cycle for Cloud Computing, Hype Cycle for Infrastructure and Operations, and Hype Cycle for Enterprise Communication Services.
We see the cloud industry as shifting away from the hyperscaler model and toward independent platforms that offer agile, scalable AI performance without lock-in. We think our inclusion in the Hype Cycles reflects that. Access the Gartner Hype Cycle for Cloud Computing here.
Looking ahead
Gartner IT Symposium reinforced the cloud industry’s shift toward sovereign, global, open-source infrastructure. With our composable cloud platform and exciting, growing lineup of AI-native and cloud compute products, Vultr is proud to advance that trend.
